Despite everything that is happening in my life I’m still making art. In my next painting I’m looking back one of my long standing interests, Dinosaurs. My Grandfather was a paleontologist who spend most of his career digging at the Hellcreek Formation at Montana, studying the mammals that lived with Dinosaurs and the mammals that survived the Great Cretaceous Extinction. But my favorite dinosaurs have always been the the giant Sauropods or long necked dinosaurs. For this painting I’m doing one of the biggest ever found, a Patagotitian found in Argentina. There is a Patagotitian cast skeleton on display at the Chicago Field Museum of Natural History. Full color version coming soon.
