Summer is here. The heat is on, a good time for an artist to work on his art. Here is the drawing for my latest in the “Walking In” series. For this painting we are going back to the dawn of the dinosaurs. All my paintings in the series so far have been in the famous Cretaceous period towards the end of the dinosaurs, here the setting is the Triassic Period over 200 million years ago. The location: the Ischigualasto Formation in the La Rioja and San Juan provinces of northwestern Argentina. This area has some of the oldest dinosaur remains found so far plus many animals unique to the Triassic and many photo-mammals. In this painting there are only 3 dinosaurs.
